Im trying to do a search for listed building (for Stockport, Greater Manchester) on the internet but can not find anything! I looked on councils web site too!
Is this something local like the local council or is there a national data base I could find these from

Thanks

Wales is the Royal commission, not sure of the name in England. The listing is often for something special so the one I lived in, we could rip out the staircase, as not original, but could not touch the floor.

I know in Chester there has been problems with a dentist where the council said it needed a stair lift, and the listing people said no way, and the listing people won.

I think Shrewsbury there has been a problem with windows, where they can't have double glazing, but it varies building to building, sometimes one is surprised what is allowed.

A quick look and this seems to be the page you want I see no point in doing it for you. All I could find is Staircase House, 30A and 31, Market Place, Stockport, SK2 1ES, Non Civil Parish, STOCKPORT, Stockport. But the old telephone box is grade III and SK2 has not shown any.
