My wife has just bought a cordless Gtech vacuum cleaner, and the manual doesnt answer my question...

Will it be ok to leave it constantly plugged in? If so, I'm assuming that a charge controller will stop any damage to the battery?

We have two weeks to evaluate it, so need id charged all the time.

Cheers

li-ion batteries are very dangerous if wrongly charged
the batteries and charger will probably have there own protection circuits
how is it stored ?
does it fit on a docking station that charges it ??

Big-all, the charger (integrated plug with cable dangling) can plug straight into the cleaner's body; or the battery can be removed and the cable plugged into it. No dock as such.

does it mention charging time or does the charger have a voltage and ma output
does it mention the voltage off the battery and ah rating ??

Worth looking here at the Q and A section with answers supplied by GTECH, note

page 2
"We would not advise to keep it plugged in constantly as this may cause the battery/charger to over heat".

Kind regards

"The charger socket is on the back of the battery Pack (its a round hole). You can charge it either on or off the product. A full charge will take 4 hours, giving you a run time of 40 minutes once fully charged. However you can top up the charge in shorted bursts if needed"
