Got back from work on Thursday and found a brick through my window and my bike gone. I have now installed a burgler alarm.

I got it reduced from B&Q, 6 zone with a remote keypad, 4 PIR sensors, 2 magnetic catch sensors, 100m of 6 core wire. £75 with an extra 15% off.

Is this a good buy?

I will also take this oppertnity to say how much I hate crawling around in the loft, pulling cables.

Well, it's loud when it goes off. And has a variety of zone adjustment features.

I'm new to the whole alarm thing, what would make a 'good' system?
