I have a 3 zone boiler system with a bladder tank on the makeup side and on the upstream side of the zone valves. The problem: zone valve shuts-large back pressure causing pipe shaking and noise. The tank is new with 12 lbs. factory set pressure. Should I put additional pressure in tank? There appears to be about 15 lbs showing on the temp/pressure gage. This pressure backup has broken one cast iron zone manifold. Thank you.

If you look in the FAQ section at the top of this sites first page then you will find instructions written in English.

If you run your system at 15 p.s.i. the you should charge the "bladder tank" to about 8 p.s.i. However the important thing is that you pressure the bladder tank with the system pressure at zero.
