Advice required please...

I have been in my house approx 2 years, it's a new build and as with all new builds things settle and go pear shaped. Amongst the variety of issues I am having is in living room ceiling.

Basically I can see the layout of the plaster board and the heads of the nails as outlines in areas of the ceiling - how should the housebuilder resolve this? I am concerned they will just paint over it and it just doesnt feel right, conscious of being ripped off/blagged etc.

Thanks People.

Nails will generally show through & “pop” the plaster after a couple of years or so on a new build or new ceiling, it’s why nobody I know uses them any more & hasn’t done for years; screws are by far superior. You shouldn’t be able to see the outline of the boards; can you confirm if they have actually been plastered? Either someone has done some seriously wafer thin skimming or the boards have not been plastered but finished with tape & fill which is a seriously cheapskate & naff in my book!

What are you doing remedial work or just some general redecorating? Who’s doing it, the original builder or are you calling in some decs?
