Hi all

Im at the thinking stages of having a load bearing wall removed.

I had one done years ago which had supporting piers at either end!

I have not approached a builder or anyone as yet but was curious to whether or not I would need a pier on the adjoining cavity/party wall? I was hoping that it could be supported on the current cavity wall so that the wall could be kept smooth for ease of placing furniture etc. If it can be done, is it size/weight dependant?

Any info would be appreciated

Cheers
