Locating an extractor fan in a bathroom...

Hi,

I'm going to fit an extractor fan into a bathroom where there isn't currently one. The ceiling's 2.3m high and I plan to centre the hole at 1.8m. Doesthis sound okay and also, is there a minimum distance I need to put the fan from a window?

Minimum 100mm in from the window jamb, and if possible 300mm from an internal corner of the room. And ideally in the opposite side/corner of the room to the door.

Use a core drill to save knocking the wall about

You may need a 10mm gap under the door to let air through
