Hi all,

Im an electrician and went to look at a job yesterday where the client would like the central heating room stat to be locked so it cant be turned up by the tenants. Its a huge house with 12 bedsits/studio flats and the room stat is in the communal hallway. Ive heard you can get either a stat with a code you have to enter to change the temperature or one where you have to use a key.

If anyone knows who has one of these it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Alex

P.S Ive looked all over the internet

what about a wire cage to cover it? - smaller version of a flue guard

Hi,

Thanks for the reply. I mentioned putting a cage or a lockable case over the stat but the customer would prefer a proper lockable cover or one with a code you have to enter to change the setting.

Im sure there is such a unit as I saw one somewhere a couple of years ago?

Thanks
Alex
