Loft Boarding

Hi

I live near Heathrow Airport, London. House Loft is not having any Felt and i can see the Tiles . there is too much dust (Black) in the Loft. Is this because of the Planes pollution ?

Now i want to Board the Loft so as to put some stuff there. Do you guys recommend to Felt the roof and hen Board the Loft ? please suggest. I can Board the loft but How easy is to Felt the roof ?

The black dust is probably a mixture of coal dust and ash from the exhausts of the passing planes.

You can't refelt the roof from within the loft.

The black dust is common throughout the UK and nowt to do with Heathrow. Use a breathable membrane stapled to the underside of the rafters. Look on ebay for some breathable roof membrane for about £40. Plenty of other threads on this.
