I CURRENTLY HAVE AN OPEN FIREPLACE I WOULD LIKE TO PUT IN A LOG BURNER DO I HAVE TO HAVE MY CHIMNEY LINED OR WILL A SMALL FLUE PARTLY UP CHIMNEY SUFFICE SOME SAY THE LATTER IS FINE SOME SAY you HAVE TO BE FULLY LINED AT GREAT EXPENSE MANY THANKS
 
you'll need to get your chimney inspected..they will advise what you need..

you might need to contact the LABC too.. I think that log burners are notifiable..
 
Notifiable and have certain installation requirements. Find a HETAS engineer
