Logic Combi 30 Ignition Lockout

Hi

I have Logic Combi 30 which keeps going into Ignition Lockout. It'll be 50-50 whether it will go into ignition lockout when I either turn central heating on or run a hot water tap. Resetting temporarily fixes it. It should be noted once the central heating is on, there is no issue and we will get heat from radiators and hot water tap. Or if the hot water is running, it won't lockout midway. The issue is when switching on the heating or hot water from scratch.

Gas is not issue as cooker has sufficient supply. The condensate is trap and pipe outside is clear.

Have had a Gas Safe Engineer out and he seems to think it's time for a new boiler without advising what the problem is.

Out of warranty period but has had service every year since installation 7 years ago.

Any advice would be appreciated.

If your getting a F2 error code when this happens first thing to look for a different gsr engineer.

Dump your "engineer" for someone who knows Logics, easily curable.

Even Ideal on a fixed price repair would be cheaper than anew boiler!

I'll take advice and change engineer.

Any guesses on what could be the root cause? Just seems odd that it won't be an issue once heating is on but otherwise it's 50-50 wether ignition lockout warning will show up.
