have been asked to pick some stuff up for some since i have roof bars. problem is it will overhang the back about 2-2.5M. are there any laws or anything to the max overhang there can be? (hi vis vest will be attached to end of load)

I don't know if this is too late, according to the fta road transport law book all you need is an end marker at the rearmost of the projecting load for anything within the 2m-3.05m boundary. You could even highlight both sides as well but this is not a requirement

already moved it. was a carpet and fortunatly they rolled it the 5.5M way. hung hi-vis vest from back (which i always do with anything hanging from the back)
