Long run SWA cable

I am planning on adding a long feed of power to my summer house at the end of the garden some 250metres from the incoming feed to our house.
Am i ok running the SWA cable along the perimeter on the surface? The perimeter consists mainly of posts and barb wire laden with various shrubs etc, it is part woodland. Next door is an adjoining farmers field with no public access.

Well, yes, if the cable is obvious and visible. However, 250 metres is a very long way, have you done calculations on the size of cable you plan to run?
Let us know outline of the load in the summer house and how you plan to get electricity from A to B. Probably we can give you some guidance.
