Hi Guys

Can anybody recommended a good electrical firm in Manchester that can help us out with a fairly substantial electrical fitout?

Likely to be 1.5MVA 11KV onto the site that will need stepping down and distributing to approx 250-300 individually breaker'd outlets, including hooking up generator and UPS groups

Also, does anybody have any inside information about availability on UU's network in Manchester, not requiring too much 'reinforcement'? They are being particularly slow\unhelpful. Especially interested in Trafford Park area. Have submitted relevant connection forms, but its going to take several weeks for them to get back

Thanks :)

Well... all of this happened and is now complete (ish) :)

Signed the building lease on christmas eve, fairly heafty electrical and network install project all completed by the end of Feb. Not bad going!!

170x individually breakered 32A and 16A circuits, with 350 commando sockets in total under the new raised floor. All fully UPS and generator protected. 3KW of load per circuit/footprint. Adds up to some fairly meaty cooling requirements too!

20,000Mbps of live Internet capacity online too, over dedicated diverse optical fibres.

We kept a bit of a blog of the project. Most of it will probably not be very interesting, but I know some of you like pictures of cables and things :)

Sadly we didnt DIY - would have been great fun though I'm sure! :)

doesn't matter what it is..

I think he's refering to it being left hanging in it;s bag while they plaster the wall / decorate to stop it getting covered in crap..

This build wouldnt happen to be in Salford would it? The media village? ;)

According to thier website they are in trafford park.

Yep lots of building going on next to and at salford prior to turning it into a media and communication hub for the UK

push to make switch to open door perhaps?? or just a badly terminated 1 way switch

Nick
You may be right. Given the green break glass point below, normally used on electronic door systems.

I was referring to the unconnected CPC. Why not use singles like most of the rest of the installation, or 2 core flex?
