Hi,

I’m looking to hire a qualified Gas Safe engineer to install gas fire insets in the living room and dining room of my 1930s semi-detached house in Bristol.
The work will involve:
  • Running gas pipes to the chimney openings (there’s an existing gas pipe under the floorboards, and another was previously connected to a gas burner).
  • Installing the gas fire insets once the chimneys are ready.
No building work is needed as the hole size is already in line with the inset requirements from the manual.
I need gas safe certificate for the pipe works and the gas fire fitting.
I will arrange for the chimneys to be swept, inspected, and smoke-tested beforehand to determine whether lining is needed.
If you’re experienced with this type of work and available, please get in touch.

Thanks!
Vahid

Not sure why it has been extremely difficult to find a gas safe engineer to fit a gas fire.

Thanks, that's what I did and I chose the gas fire installation option. A few didn't answer and other said they won't fit gas fire. That's why I posted here hoping to find someone here.
