looking for a leak (shower mixer? In plasterboard wall - Edited)

My mates looking for a leak and isn’t sure where to cut the next hole. Advice welcome

So I can hazard a guess that it’s a leak from a shower or is the thread a wind up?
 
Suggest he cuts a single rectangular piece of plasterboard that will span between the studwork

And big enough to expose the mixer and its pipes

Places it against the wall, draws round it, cuts out the rectangle so the replacement piece will fit straight in after repairing the plumbing.



I wonder why it has 4 pipes? One hot, one cold, and two extra....
 
Oh for goodness sake. Keep cutting till he finds the studs then and cut midway down them and take the whole panel out. Once sorted it can be replaced with a whole new section given the current one is now swiss cheese.
 
Could it be around the shower head connection, weeping down when switched on?
