Hi so i am dropping down 3&e from lights to switches to give myself neutrals at the switches and onto the last one which is the front door one which has an old lowered ceiling, so open up the ceiling and find ceramic terminal blocks. so drop down new cable to switch and temp connect to the old connectors till i get a maintenance free jb in the morning and all working for the night. in the morning i start fitting the jb and find myself with only two wires a permanent live and a neutral and couldn't find a switched live at the ceiling rose, i hunted everywhere to see if it was lying up in the ceiling void and gave up had a cup of tea and went back to it and it just jumped out that there was no switched live from the rose to switch. now i have done around a dozen of these and guess i just had a moment.
