Hi

We're about to have some work done in our house and we're looking at flooring. We quite like Karndean but the builder is pushing us to go with Lotus.

Setting aside whether he's getting a better deal on the Lotus or not, does anyone have any opinion as to which is better?

Thanks

DD

How long do you intend on keeping the floor.
5 years
10 years
longer.

It makes a difference.

It's another LVT mate, used it before, it was ok.

Hi

Just to clarify, this is for our kitchen and the 'builder' I mentioned is actually a guy who specialises in kitchens who has been recommended to us.
We intend keeping this floor for at least 10 years, hopefully longer, so I suppose it's just a matter of which is more durable.

Thanks

is the cost of your floor included in your overall quote?

or is it extra?

if its extra, then you need to be asking what cost per square meter he will charge....

I suspect that your builder will add a mark-up for himself, so you should get others in to quote

As I have repeatedly stated on here, you will meet a lot of fitters who "say" they can fit this stuff, but very few actually can fit it...

I could fit it for you, you would be very pleased and happily pay me.
I will have long gone when the problems start to manifest themselves
If you deal with a shop hopefully they will still be there to complain to...
