Hi, I’ve had two very loud bangs on roof, about 6 weeks apart, but no visible signs of any damage from outside or in the loft.
One was central of the house next to neighbours (semi detached property)and other to front and end of property.
Each bang was directly followed by the sound of a quick sliding of something, but again nothing to be seen.
Please has anyone any idea was this is.

Do you have chimneys anywhere close to where you heard the noise?

The first bang. Not a chimney but a gas fire roof vent, but not near the second bang.

Nah. Not a car backfiring not even a Vectra could make such a loud bang.

What sort of construction is your roof?
Metal, tiles, slate, thatched?

Have you tried looking in the loft or on the roof?

A bit sloppy, but potentially rehearsals for the main event in two weeks time.

Have you been good this year?

The roof construction is tiles.
I’ve had a good look in loft. Firewall ok and can’t see anything out of the norm.
Not personally been up on the roof, but looks goods to the eye.

Any dead birds on the ground?
Are you connected to a neighbour? perhaps ask them.
