New dish washer, replacing old so should have been easy job, unscrewed water hose at old dish washer, but new one hose does not unscrew at dish washer, originally 90° bend at supply isolator, new one straight, needed a 73 mm hole saw to get the end through, not easy when already a hole, lucky I had hole saws I could use.

But what is the lump? Pressure reducers, filter, and why on supply pipe not in dish washer? Picture upload_2021-9-25_3-32-20.png shows filter but what is the big lump? The supply hose looks like the waste hose and same diameter but different colour, assume it is a protective outer? It seems there is the option of a standard size pipe, but not with model I have, Blomberg LDF42240.

'The Aqua-Stop design incorporates a dual layer inner hose encased within a hard plastic outer hose. If either of the inner hoses should leak, a specially designed shut-off mechanism will be triggered, blocking the hose and preventing water flow.'
