Hi folks, long time lurker here! Apologies if this goes on a bit.

So we're looking to run an LVT throughout the ground floor of our house. Currently we have laminate in hall, wc and kitchen and carpet in living room and dining. Where the laminate is the skirtings have been lifted and architraves etc cut so they're about 18mm above concrete slab. Where carpet the skirtings etc are at slab level.

What's the best way to get continuity when we got to LVT?

Concrete sub floor is consistent. It's easy enough to lower the skirtings, but architraves, door checks and linings have all been cut to suit so would all need replaced them if I lower the 'finished floor level'.

Or fill them which if you take your time you can get it nice. My dad did it in his when I laid Amtico after the Laminate had been down a few years. Looked good.
Otherwise it’s a lot of Screeding compounds to build the whole lot up 15mm
