Could anyone confirm if the wired version of the Honeywell Lyric T6 actually uses wired communication between the stat and 'relay box', or is it just a power supply to the stat, with wireless communications? Honeywell's literature doesn't make it clear, and the installation guide (https://www.honeywelluk.com/Documents/All/pdf/Lyric_T6_Installation.pdf) mentions binding, unless that's been copied from the wireless version's instructions accidentally.
I'd prefer wired communications, one less thing to go wrong! I realise there is a wi-fi connection from the stat, but as I understand it this isn't critical for operation.
This would be fitted to an Intergas combi boiler using Opentherm.
