MACDEE Pneu-compact

hi i have just put in a MACDEE Pneu-compact concealed cistern and everything is great apart from I cut the tube in half to get shot of the excess but I find it really hard to push now , what I was wondering was is it hard because I cut the tube or is there something else I can do to help with this please help
