Macerator woes

I, unfortunately, had to install a Macerator and am really nervous I'm going to be onto third soon. It's a rented property and it's not being treated with the respect it deserves.

Anyway... I have the option of moving the toilet it serves so the Macerator will only need to serve the shower. I'd only consider the cost of moving the toilet if the Macerator setup is less likely to fail if just serving the shower.

Are shower only Macerator setups less problematic?

Er. shower only macerators are basically switched pumps. The sensor can go wrong, but the pump is less likely to since it has less work to do
