We have a macerator in our ensuite bathroom which is nearing the end of its useful life.It makes a huge racket when it kicks off and really annoys our neighbour. Can anyone recommend either a macerator which is quiet and can deal with solid waste ie paper and number 2 or an alternative to using a macerator where the shower, washbasin and toilet are located several meteres from an external wall.
We also have a leaky shower where the water pours down the wall of the room below. We think it may be the seal but are not sure. Is there any easy way to determine whether the leak is underneath the shower basin
ie in the pipes underneath, the seals between the basin or even between the tiles on the shower wall. I do not want to take out the shower basin if I can help it.

Thanx
