I had a upvc door mechanism go. I have changed mechanism before on upvc door lock. However the mechanism i changed had screws to take mechanism off . This one was rivoted. I had to get someone out who said he was going to get me a new full lock. But he come back and had only changed the mechanism. How did he fix if rivoted ?

Would be good to know as £125 is a good saving when your a landlord and these things can happen often.

You mean you've changed a gearbox, if it's riveted then the gearbox cant be removed so you'll need to change the complete mechanism in that case

Sorry yes I mean I have changed the gearbox, that is what was gone on this lock and the gearbox was riveted. I had to call a lock man, he said hes going for new lock but took mine and changed the gear box that was riveted. I am guessing he must of drilled the rivets out so the gearbox released and then added a new one and used a rivet gun. I did not know this was possible.

As far as I'm aware it's not possible
