As said, people massively underestimate the huge forces imparted by moving mass (dynamic).

I’m not convinced that is the case in the specific case of a pull-up bar. The force is limited to what the muscles in your arms can impart, without dislocating your joints or breaking your fingers. It’s not like a swing, for example, where the forces are carried by strong ropes and metal fixings.
