Hi
My parents have a main HE 18 boiler. That does both CH and HW via storage tank.
Currently the timer is set to come on for 2 hours in the morning and 2 in the evening for the HW.
The CH is set to continuous. When the CH is set to continuous the boiler flame readout flashes red which is apparently lockout.
This does not happen if the CH is set to off. It will heat the HW cylinder with no problems but after 30 mins of trying to heat the CH this happens.
The house is a 3 bed and in my uneducated guess it seems this tiny boiler is not up to the task of doing both at once.
There are 8 large double radiators and 4 small which tail off toward the rear of the property "extension"
Anyhow if anyone has any ideas what could be causing this or has experience this I would be greatful for any advice or opinions going foward.
Cheers,
Michael.
