Hello all,

Ths is probably the 1st of many many posts from myself, I am a first time buyer with average DIY skills. I am a very keen learner so am doing my best to pick things up.

Thanks in advance for any replies.

Ok so my issue is this, MAINS 24 HE Combi boiler pressure is very high. It should sit at about 1 bar when not in use/cold but seems to linger at 2.5bar and rises to 3 bar + when in use.

I also have a constant drip (sometimes a steady stream) of water coming out of the PCV on the outside wall.

Upon closer inspection i also seem to have a leaky Filling loop, Only noticed when i saw a drip come from the bottom of it.

Further to this, Bristol Water are doing works on the local water pipes and i have since noticed that when i turn on my hot tap in the bathroom...It initially spits at me before then going into a constant flow. Im guessing this is air in the system?

Any pointers for me? Abit stuck. Im fully aware that im not meant to touch the boiler as im not gas reg.

Cheers all

OK with taking off the the outer case but not the combustion chamber cover on the inside.

Is the filling loop connected? Sounds more like filling loop letting by to me.

We don't know what the system size is.

I am sure you agree a Jump like that is not out of the ordinary on a system too big for the ev?

So, for the OP, it might just be.

No we don't and may be reasonable but pressure rises in use and drips outside from the PRV. What would you check first?
