Main Circuit Flow Switch

Hi, just trying to make sense of the hot water system on my Ariston microGenus 27 MFFI combi.

I can see that there is a Main Circuit Flow Switch and there's also a Domestic Hot Water Flow Switch.

Does the DHW switch detect the demand for hot water when a tap is opened to the pcb which then triggers the Diverter Valve actuator to open the Diverter valve and the Main Circuit Flow switch connected to it confirms that the valve has opened ?

The latter confirms pump operation and adequate circulation.

Well that's the idea anyway.
