main mersey super .....how to adj. warter temp.?

Cant find this subject ;sorry if its an old one. I have a main mersey super that just has the water temp. too high. There is no instruction manual on site,non of the staff know how to adjust it and there is no obvious (highly visible!) control knob.

Ill bet there is small set screw somewhere hiding.

Looks like the remains of such a rod in the pipe work. Many thanks and will try to adj. it tomorrow after we close. JIM
 
Careful it will probably be seized and may cause stat housing to leak
 
ang fire ive got two sets of mi's for that heater both with diff GC numbers one has a temp control the other hasn't

post the GC no before you start dismantling :idea:
