Mains Cold water pipe

Hi all,

I have prob with my mains water pipe, when turn on cold water or hot or elec shower, the main cold water pipe rumbles very loud i have to turn on the cold water tap down stars or turn on shower up stairs any ideas what could be problem ??????? (I run shower up stairs for 15mins if air in system)

You may have high water pressure, have you tried turning down the main stopcock down ? My stopcock is only open about 25%.

Hi

Just had a look was sitting about 25% as well but water pressure is pritty high cant turn tap on full as splashes every where

I turned it to about 10 to 15% now to give a try

will post reply if ok

Just started to get rubbling again when turned on hot water
put mains water stock pipe to 15% but still there
any more ideas any one
