Mains stopcock - how much to open?

I had to recently shut off the main stopcock under my kitchen sink to do a few bits of work. When I turned the stopcock off it was wasn’t fully open I don’t think. So when I’ve reopened it after doing my work, how much should I open it to? I’ve done a few turns and pressure in taps seem good. But not sure how much in supposed to open it.

Open fully then turn half to a full turn back again. Helps prevent the Valve from seizing and if it does, you've got wriggle room to turn it both ways in an attempt to free it off.
