mains water problem

I am not able to turn off the water cock, on a Combi system the water is still.I assume all i need is to turn off the stop tap in the house running.

I need to change the electric shower-should i just turn off at the road where we have a water meter.Appreciate any advise.

Yes turn off the main one in the street and sort the indoor stopcock out aswell.
Also fit an isolation valve to the shower.

The street valve is for the benefit of the water co. !

Every house should have a working stopcock.

Replace your stopcock and you can be independent of the water co.

yep use hex key in ur meter housing to turn water off then do as seco said
