mains water

I have a shared mains supply with 5 other houses, hence very poor pressure. Is there a devise/tank etc or anything i can do apart from a new expensive solo supply. I use a combi boiler so have no storage tank.

if you were to apply to have a water meter fitted would the water company not be obliged to run you a new service.

hmm. even though you have a shared supply you are supposed to be guaranteed a decent pressure. i'd call them and ask as you are by law supposed to get at least 1 bar pressure (although this is not v. good)...

they do, but only at the main stop cock, not at the tap. They are a waste of time to be honest

hang on the external stopcock will be in the pavement or somewhere just outside the property. your own stopcock should be somewhere like under the kitchen sink/near where the water enters your property.

Yes my stop cock is, but they only guarantee 1 bar at the main (road) stop cock

i didnt mention applying for a new service. just apply for a water meter.

& i believe you are guaranteed 0.7bar static pressure to your property, although as has been said before thats not very good.
