Interestingly we use a huge amount of crimp joints.
One thing we have to do is test each crimper (hydraulic or manual) annually to confirm they produce enough pressure to ensure a good connection.

That doesn't surprise me (although I strongly suspect that you use 'proper' tools - see previous posts). However, I think most of the concerns (certainly mine) (in those who have concerns) relate primarily to the crimping of solid conductors - which I imagine are not something you normally deal with (although, as always, I may be wrong!); even in terms of T&E, solid conductors stop at 2.5mm².
