Hi,

Not really a DIY question I'm afraid but....

I'm looking to replace my kitchen this year. Based on a free design I got from a kitchen company, I'd like to move the appliances around, the main issue being rerouting the gas and electicity from one side of the room to the other for the oven.

The companies I have spoken to to date (including the one that gave me the design!) said they won't fit or move anything they haven't provided themselves (I've already got a good set of new appliances). Does anyone know if this is typical of the kitchen companies?

I don't want to really get into having to independently hire different contractors to do the job. I'd be happy even if we got a B&Q flatpack kitchen as long as someone could get the installation/gas moving/wiring over with as a job lot, and quickly. What's the best way of doing this ? Are there companies that will do the lot, or do I need to get a project manager in to sort it out? (I'm not being lazy, honest, it's just I'm out of the house 7-7 every day and it would be a nightmare to have to co-ordinate everything)

Grateful for any advice...

a decent independent fitter will do the lot, but make sure you get someone in thats corgi registered to do the gas , and under ythe new rules someone qualified to carry out the part p electrical work
