Similar ppl were fed up with EU and free movement of ppl.

Bottom line, some Brits think they have a monopoly on who comes and goes- generally get fed up no matter what.

I suspect on here that most of your political opponents, the ones you like to call fascists, are all/mostly heavily on the side of the Jewish community - we would make very strange fascists if that's what we are

You don't seem to be aware Netanyahu is supported by a far-right government and the far right in the UK has embraced their cause. The world has flipped on its head in the last 25 years and the old world order is in ruins.

I'm not sure what it's like down south, but up here it used to be the case if a landlord took on a tenant who was on benefits, the rent would be paid directly to the landlord by the local council. This actually made such tenants quite a safe bet for landlords.

Then, in their infinite wisdom, Scottish government changed things so people received all their benefits directly. This was to empower them, a positive step to make them feel responsible for their own money.

What happened? You guessed it. Many tenants didn't prioritise paying their rent. Actually, it often came bottom of their priorities. Result? Landlords are now, understandably, more hesitant to accept tenants on benefits.

So in some but not all scenarios, I agree with the suggestion that benefits should be paid in a different way.

That's why i liked the Grauniad banner line - there's more than one way to do this and it doesn't have to be riddled with the kind of rot imparted by fartrage and his band of feckwits.
