I have over 1500 files in a folder, and they each have adifferent name and i want to PRINT off a list of these folders. Is there a way or a certain program that will allow me to do this. ie grab the names of the files and print them in a neat list. The way i do it with my smaller files is use a screen dump and the paste the screen dump as a BMP. But with the size of this folder this way isnt possible. Thanks for any help

after googling this question i have found a solution using a DOS prompt ,but will only work for the MAIN C drive , this wont work in my situation as the list is on an EXT HARD DRIVE. and i dont have room to transfer it to the C drive.

You should be able to use DOS to examine files on any attached drive.

At the DOS prompt type in the drive letter e.g. external drive allocated as drive D - type "D:" (without quotes) and press return. You should then see the D drive listed and can carry on with further DOS commands for that drive
