Making a retaining wall and driveway in elevated front garden

They may well park like that in Birmingham. Im not a brummie so wouldn't know.

This is about the only way a 5m x 2m car is going on there:

Would be a very weird swinging in angle as well to achieve that.

Damn unlucky. Great house otherwise, if only it had more options at the front or wasn't so elevated.

I have still been thinking of how i could make this drivewway work. Excuse the bad drawing but I thought something like this would be optimal:



It keeps a short section of front wall either side for aesthetics and puts a nice set of steps up the left side where its narrowest and deepest.

What do you think? The right side is reasonably shallow, perhaps less than 500mm.

It still might be a squeeze for a large car like mine and would only be room for one vehicle.

It feels DIYable provided there are no complications on excavation.
