Hey
Had a new front door fitted recently and finally getting round to making good around it - they did offer to fit plastic trim but I wanted to avoid this as it was replacing a old night latch door the width of the trim was pretty large.
The door fitting wasn’t fully square so some wood was used to fill the gap.
I guess I have 2 questions
1. What’s the best way to make this look like “one” bit of wood and all part of the frame? Some filler in the gap / sanding down and painting it all as one or is there a better way to do this?
2. The gap which is mostly at the top - it was filled with silicone but this stated to come away when I was trying to sand down the wall and removing the lose parts of paint on the edge - what’s the best way to fill this and make it look proper?
Thank you!
