Sorry fella my fault for not explaining right...Its an internal wall, floor levl(concrete)is about 3courses below the soleplate...The plinth has no dpc need to patch this area.Dont fancy wire and bonding as this will suck in any moisture that creeps up the plinth. Was thinking of studding it out with a bit of batten then foil back plasterboard ...

Just to check, the area you're going over is below the DPC in the external walls?

It'd be a good idea to deal with that before doing the finishing or it'll be coming off again before it's time.

You could extend the DPC down those extra few layers with injectable cartridge gun cream. £15 a tube from toolstation, easy to use, does about 1 - 1.5m a cartridge from memory.

If there's soil on the other side of the wall, you might want to look at actual barrier sheet for the inside and possibly the outside. The injectable cream tends to spread down the mortar lines of clay bricks. With soil on the soil side, the moisture could try getting back through the actual bricks themselves.

That's not so much of a problem if it's just a bit of rain on the outside over the DPC, since it evaporates off, but soil is a constant soak problem.
