Makita MLS100 - extended cutting width

I've seen some stuff online to suggest that this can cut up to 150mm boards with some creativity. I need to chop up some 150mm featheredge boards and wondering if anyone has managed to do this and offer some advice please.

Chop saw cross cut capacity tends to be given for cutting at maximum depth of cut so you may squeeze a wider cut with thinner boards. Or, with a bit of practice flip them over/round, score them, and use the groove as a guide for the remaining cut. Or just a hand saw.
