Mandatory ID cards (Brit Card) to be announced tomorrow

It's f*ckin bullshit!!
THIS is the start of the full-on crack-down of civil-liberties.
Just you wait until the time comes when you decide that you don't want 'the jab' or, that you haven't paid your parking ticket/s etc. They'll be able to freeze your accounts and then, no food etc.
Look at China. It's happening there as we speak.
did you vote for Brexit?

I'm off to the loft to find my national insurance card, failing that my passport or my driving licence, worst case my Trustatrader id card.

Will I have to show the Britcard to contractors in order to work, will it have my UTR Number on it, N.i Number etc etc.

Starmer can shove it.

If you believe that you gladly share information without realising it already, then you obviously don't understand the implications of what is proposed in this latest attempt to catalogue the population to a far greater extent than was envisaged only 15 years ago when it was dropped...
Gosh, that sounds really ....dull. Especially if folk want to know what I had for breakfast. It's not a national secret.

If you aren't having your nationality checked on jobs now then your employer/ contractor to is probably operating illegally.

Also, it's a digital ID. You won't have to carry the card around at all. Just give them your ID number and probably verify it on your phone.

I have never had to prove my nationality with any contractor or employee since I have been SE, 20+ years, I cant remember having to prove my nationality before that either.
