Mandatory ID cards (Brit Card) to be announced tomorrow

So you really can't see the vital difference between any and all of those and a MANDATORY state issued ID "document"?
No.

I can't see that it's any different.

Do you think none of the information that tracks me is not shared already.

There is a service already in place, used on the death of a person. Tell them once and all the information and action is shared so that you don't have to inform everybody. I never signed up to that, but it is in place.

What do you think you are achieving by resisting it ? Think they won't know who you are ?

The info is already there.

No.

I can't see that it's any different.

There is a limit to the number of times I will show you all the things you list, and more, and show you that they are none of them mandatory, and show you that that is the crucial difference between them, and something which is mandatory.

That limit has now been reached.

It agrees, not a blocker.

It agrees nothing of the sort.

So when I provided data for my driving licence, where did I give informed consent that it could also be used to verify my residency status and right to work?

That's not needed for digital ID.

You can't use your driving licence now as proof of residency status or right to work either do you?

The Farage lovin numpties on here that are anti ID cards clearly have something to hide…..

Too much cash in hand work praps

The funny thing is the luddites who won't engage with the system are also the ones most at risk for it. Their data will still be in the system, but they won't have any way of being notified that it is being used and they're the ones whose identites could actually be stolen.
so by your own logic the data is at risk of being stolen. yet you still want to blindly go along for the ride. this is just one of the reasons why people are against it, which you clearly agree on.
not wanting to fall for such a trick does not make people luddites. where do you draw the line? if the government said they were going to chip people would you be a luddite for not wanting the chip? what about demanding a robot brain in every citizen? would you be a luddite for resisting that? just because the government demand it does not make it a technological advancement, it just makes it a demand.
anyway, they won't need to steal my ID. the day they release it i will go down to the south coast with it all pre-loaded on a mobile phone and i will give it to the first person i see getting off a raft at the coast, for free, no strings attached. they can have it, i don't care.

i don't know how i got pulled into this debate  there is so much hate on this forum. i think i am going to stay out of the general section.
one love, all <3

I think Digital ID is a wonderful thing

anybody scared of it obviously has something to hide.

What new data, that couldn’t have been stolen previously, did you have in mind? There are more worthwhile targets for info’ thieves. What makes you think that folks will become more vulnerable all of a sudden?
As I said - no fuggs given. My life will not change one iota.

this sounds like the CCTV debate. here is an article from the overlords themselves. the same logic applies. there are far more points than this too.

i am not saying that, i was responding to it minions claims that the data will be stolen if we do not embrace it. whatever data he is referring to is what i am talking about.
i assume what he has in mind is somebody using your digital ID to get work, or for whatever other freedoms that they will slowly make it mandatory for.
my life will also not change. i will not use their ID and nothing for me will change, even if somebody does steal my ID, i don't care, it won't effect me, i don't live the kind of life where these things effect me in the slightest :)
