When using masonry joist hangars with a fairly beefy section such as 200x50mm, do you guys bother notching the bottom of the joist to take out the @2mm step of the hangar, or just let the flex in the plasterboard absorb it?

Thanks

I have notched in the past. It's easy to get wrong though, i.e. take too much material away from the joist.

I can imagine. Maybe if I clamp them all together (15 off) it's worth getting the router set up.
