I have put white masonry paint on bay stonework. However, the paint keeps flaking. It was originally gloss painted which was flaking but the gloss was completely removed back to the stone work....Its still flaking!!

How do I stop it? Is there some sort of primer needed on the stonework first? Is this a serious problem?

Stonework...or cement rendering wifey?

Hi Zampa, it's stonework. I believe my handyman has solved it with an alkali resistent primer sealer. Seems to have done the trick marvelously.
