hi there
first post for a long time lurker, so thanks for all your help in the past, but today i couldnt find an answer by searching
basically i decided i wanted to paint the outside of the house this week, the weather is finally good enough to get this job out the way
the current finish is a bit of a mess. its a textured paint which has cracks and bubbles.
i made a start on removing the loose paint. underneath its relatively smooth, but then you have patchy smooth bits and patchy textured bits
im not keen on spending a week scraping the stuff off in the pursuit of a consistent finish, but do i have any choice?
can i add a textured paint to attempt to add texture to the smooth bits or is that likely to end in misery?
thanks in advance, it would be good to hear your experience
