Hi guys,

I have a plasterer starting soon and he's given me a list of materials I need to get. I need:

27 bags of multi finish
10l PVA
2 big bags of brown sand
19 bags of cement

In case you haven't already guessed, this is a sand and cement base coat and skim, based on all your advice. Firstly, I would have thought a water proofer is a must? Just wondering before I see him and ask.

Secondly, where the best to get this? I have a trade card for B&Q or could go to Wickes?

You would be best ringing around a few local builders merchants and see what the best prices are, some may offer free deliver over a certain value.

I am surprised the plasterer doesn't have a trade account somewhere though!
You wont need a waterproofing agent.
