hi all
i've got a mazda 323,1.3,2002,it's done 42k miles
i bought mid feb, every thing works ok but in the boot
on left hand side if you lift up the boot mat to get at
the spear wheel it's wet under the mat, also to the left
there is a space you can fit your hand into, above rear
wheel arch, this is also full of water,i can't see any trails
to show how the water get's in there,i don't think it is
getting in from underneath,i don't have a clue how the
water is getting in there or how to stop it from happing.

any ideas please,i'm stumped

Common places to let water in are the tailgate rubber seal, and the seal around the rear lamp units......dry out the boot space as far as you can and play a hose pipe around the suspect areas.
John :)

I had exactly the same on my 323 Think it was a 2000 model, cant remember if I found the exact cause, I think it was where the rear light cluster bolts to the body work IIRC check that the rubber washers are in place and clean, I just put a shammy leather in the whole and absorbed the water from time to time
